BIO

Putting the sass and powerful vocals back into pop; this is Chess Galea. Styling her sound with a little RnB and old school kicks, there’s an original yet nostalgic feel to her music.

Frequently compared to Nelly Furtado because of her pop-RnB, urban sound and distinct voice, Chess’ influences include Freddie Mercury, Prince, Gaga and Celine Dion.

Chess has had support already from BBC Introducing & iTV, nominated for Best Female Solo Artist at the MMA’s, has been a semi-finalist in the UK songwriting competition twice, and, in 2017, achieved a number 40 in the iTunes charts with her single ‘Rise’.
