Chess Galea is a Maltese singer, songwriter, artist and vocal coach. Her music has been featured on BBC Introducing and international radio, and she has recently competed in Eurovision Malta.
She has worked as a backing vocalist on Jack Savoretti’s UK number-one album Europiana and wrote and performed lyrics for Nintendo Switch’s Bayonetta 3, including the theme Al Fine and Moonlight Serenade. The game won Best Action Game 2022. In 2023, she also wrote Candy for K-pop group Apink.
Chess has performed at the UK House of Commons to support women in music, toured Europe and the UK with The Australian Pink Floyd Show, and performs as soprano in the live orchestral Lord of the Rings production. Her screen acting debut will appear in the film Saint Maria’s Way (2026).
Alongside her artistic work, Chess is an advocate for feminism, equality and mental health awareness, hosting The Big Vag Energy Podcast and founding the charity The Kintsugi Way in 2025. As a vocal coach, her students have gone on to appear on The Voice and Barbie.
